The
Open Networking Foundation (ONF) and the
Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) are driving advanced
approaches to network control and services management based on
standards. Combined,
these organizations will lead to new capabilities for IT
organizations and service providers to manage and configure their
network, compute, and applications infrastructure that will enable
new dynamic services across a wide spectrum of environments from
data center server networking to mobile services activation and
lower TCO.
Announcing CPlane Transit - A Family of Network Discovery, Management and Provisioning
Applications for the CPlane Framework
CPlane
Transit is based on CPlane’s polymorphic
orchestrating framework and features a family of capabilities for
network discovery and provisioning including
OpenTransit, CPlane’s
own OpenFlow controller, with MPLS Provisioner and
VPN Provisioner both
production-proven applications to define, discover and provision
communications services based on widely-used standard protocols
including MPLS and Layer 2/Layer 3 VPNs.
CPlane Transit applications operate alongside CPlane
Discovery, which provides agentless discovery and mapping of
IT resources to enable service providers and enterprises to have a
single data repository view of their entire data center IT and wide
area network resources to bridge the chasm from proof of concept to
live production services with today’s and tomorrow’s protocols.
